Our cats

The Cabinet Cat!!! We had one. I'm gonna say its sad but, we cleaned out one spot and put a blanket there for her after a while. I think because we had another cat she learned to be really quiet opening and closing the door so...problem solved.....sort of.

So, comes the day me and the missus want to go on vacation. My sister offered to cat sit for us at her place. We missed out on telling my sister about her cupboard fetish. Comes the middle of the night. My sister is awoken by the sounds of someone in the kitchen. Paniced she wakes her husband and sends him with a baseball bat to check it out. We had a good laugh when we got back and picker her up.

The most therapeutic cat too. She came to bed with me curled up with her back against my chest and purred so quiet you could barely hear her. Boom, out like a light. I found out years later she would only stay there for about 5 minutes. Man I miss her.

Essential oils are a great idea! And if she gets habituated to the lavender you can use a different smelling one.

Like the idea of giving her one cabinet with a bed and treats so that she gets a territory. Along those same lines, you could try putting a cat hideaway next to the cabinets and put catnip and treats in it every day and then slowly move it incrementally to another room where you want it.

I love how wherever I go in my apartment she follows to keep tabs on me 🥰
