Our Pets

Our cat decided that today she would go into hiding to sleep, so she moved the cushion and curled up behind it. We watched her do this, it was funny to see her pushing and shoving it, until she got is just right. :)

If she could speak, in the second photo she would be saying "WHAT!!!!"

I adore my cat so much. She is on my lap right now, which makes it hard to type. The thing I like about her is that she always loves and and gives me attention. When my husband is in his distant mood her affection means so much to me.

That's what pets do is they always love you and to me that is the best therapy for me when I feel lonely. I guess alot of us have felt that way

Amethist I love your cat pictures--how cute it that.

We got a new (and rather psychotic) kitten for my daughter. A few days ago, my phone call was interupted by his screaming growls. He had somehow gotten his tail caught in the pull cord of the blinds and was swinging wildly back and forth, hair straight on end.

I start university in a few weeks to start training as a vet, but my life has always been surrounded by animals. My father is also a vet so we have quite a few animals at home.

Currently we've got 5 dogs. Our 4 year old Siberian Husky Simba, 4 year old Border Collie Skittles, 3 year old Rottweiler Jack, 2 year old Alsatian Jake and our baby 1 year old Merlin, who's also a Border Collie.

4 cats, 5 year old Smudge, 4 year old Sophie, 1 1/2 year old Marley and 1 year old Bailey.

We've also got guinea pigs, a parrot, various other birds, fish and frogs.

Not only is my family mad about animals but they've also provided a large amount of help to me during my healing process over the past 4 years. They've helped me cope with my emotions and in certain aspects they've helped me to learn to love again. Thats one reason i want to become a vet, to give something back to the animals that have helped me over the years and all the others that provide help to their owners as well.

Here are some funny true happenings when I used to have my husky, which sure was a handful. Have a good laugh everyone.

I had just finished doing the laundry when I had a bang on the door. So I tossed the clean laundry onto the bed and went and answered the door. It was a male friend that stopped in to say hello. We were in the livingroom talking when my then 4 month old husky came running into the room with my bra in her mouth. Then I turned the brightest shade of red you could imagine and said OH S--T.

Another time I was having some bathroom work done and it was pouring rain out that day. So I told him to work in the livingroom. So he was bending over to do a cut and all of a sudden my husky goes over and gives him a good goose. His reply was "I only let my girlfriend do that."

I had fallen asleep on the couch one night. Well I was awakened at 3:30am one night when my husky found a hole in the butt of my p-j's and goosed me scaring the crap out of me

Pets!!! Got to love them. :)

I need to bath my dog tonight and she hates a bath. The last time when I was running the water she was looking at me from the door. Then I said to her come here. Well she ran into the livingroom then and tried hiding in her cage and wouldn't come out. LOL

I was a proud Mummy when I collected my gorgeous dogs from kennels.

The lady complimented me on what nice natured, well behaved dogs. She said how much they loved one another and how well they played with other dogs. She then went on to tell me they were very 'clean'. I asked her to explain and she said they never messed in their kennel. I had to explain that they would only go on grass and they hated concrete ;).

It pays not to wind your cat up, cos they will fight back.

Hubby now has a bad finger cos he would not take notice when our cat told him to stop pestering her.

Serves him right, he does know she will take so much then out come the claws. :roflmao: Though this is not the first time she has got him down the side of his finger nail.
