Our Pets

She plays with him and plagues him too, but he does know how far to go, but will insist on pushing her too far sometimes.

His injury almost caused me to start a new thread, but it can go here.

It is injuries our furry friends have caused us :roflmao:.

My beautiful little girl gave me a very colourful black eye about 5 years ago. I had woken up and went to let the dogs into the bedroom ( pre PTSD when I didn't sleep with them). I came out of the bedroom and as I bent over to greet her, she bounced up and caught my glasses. Ouch. I put my hand up and encountered blood. I had to visit the doctors for butterfly stitches. I had a hard time convincing friends it was really the dog. Luckily my girls were around to back the story :D

Sooty does it again.

Our cat has always looked after my husband in her own way. She has sat with him, slept at the side of him, shared his dinner with him, (when he was not looking though LOL).

But tonight she surpassed herself yet again.

I had helped him up to bed at around 7.45, as he was not well at all. his head was running at 100 mph, he was loosing his balance, shaking, sweating, all the usual problems when he is not good.

At 8.30 Sooty started bugging me, and was so persistent, I knew something was wrong. I was not actually sure if it was her or hubby, so I decided to ask her. I told her to walk across me and sit on the sofa arm if she was ill, she just turned away from me. I then asked her to sit at the side of me if hubby needed me, she started head butting my arm big style, so there was my answer.

I dashed up stairs to find him in the bathroom very unsteady on his feet and had to help him downstairs as he wanted a cup of tea.

Sooty was sat in the living room door way out of the way, until I got him sat down in the kitchen. She then jumped up on the chair at the side of him tapped him on his knee, then curled up and went to sleep, where she has been ever since.

So waiting to get a dog maybe a good idea after all.

Cats can be strange when bringing in a dog when the cat was there first. Word of experience. It seems better when a person has a dog then brings a cat into the household.

My calico cat that I have posted in here sure didn't like the mini schnauzer coming into her territory. She started peeing wherever the dog laid or slept. Then she started crapping all over the house. She was about 14 at this time so sadly I decided to put her down then as I just had enough of it. I didn't get another cat nor do I plan to. One dog at this time in my life is all I can handle.

We were just talking about sharing the bed with our pets on the favourite toy board. Which made me think of this happening. I was still with my late husband at the time and the dog shared the bed with us. Normally my late was a terrible bed hogger so I thought it was him. Anyhow I was just waking up but hadn't opened my eyes yet. And all of a sudden I felt this pushing on my cheeks. I yelled at my late will you stop pushing on my face. He replied back it isn't me doing that it's the dog.
