Our Pets

This is such a great thread, I love it. Pets can give so much pleasure.

We have a 10 year old black n white cat called Gilbert or Gilby-Gilbs he's into self preservation from the cat next door - Jack. Jack often comes in through the cat flap to clear up any left over food and to smooch our young ginger female Foxy. Fox is a flirt and can't understand why Gilbs doesn't do it with Jack as well.

She is a one year old kitten cat and gets more than a bit manic come feeding time and does a run and jump routine over the furniture, up & down the stairs time and again before settling down. What dooo they put in that food??

Gilbert is a bit dim and is easily confused by what's going on around him and gets a vacant look on his face. He likes biting bits out of newspapers, magazines, books, sometimes he get's right into newspapers and has been known to shred one to bits.

They are very amusing and best of all, they are very loving and sensitive and we wouldn't be without them.

Here is a pic of my crazy newfie puppy. I adopted him in February, from the humane society, when things were really bad. Nothing like a 120 lb lap dog to cheer you up.

Intothelight, I totally understand the 'oversized' lap dog! I used to have coonhounds, always wanting to be in a lap.

Now I live with my fiance and his American Eskimo "Treble" but we don't really get along all that well so I am hoping to get a German Shepard next year. We also recently rescued a kitten and named her "Neko Neko Poop Face Fuzzy Bottom Under Toe"

Link Removed Here is Treble smiling for me, like he usually does.

"Neko" is Japanese for cat (so nice you've got to say it twice); and "Poop Face" is from when we first got her and she had to eat wet food and would aways get gravy all over her face; "Fuzzy Bottom" is well, just because she is fuzzy i guess; "Under Toe" is because she is ALWAYS right under our feet (or attacking them).

When we were discussing names that was the first thing we thought of and it stuck, we came up with many other names but just couldn't get past it.
