Outed Myself On Facebook

So, I have lots of Facebook friends. Most of them have met me in real life, and there's a lot of people there whose opinions I really care about. I made a post that said "I have DID, feel free to ask me about it" and I got a lot of positive replies.

One less secret to be afraid of people finding out about it :)

I've considered doing something similar on Facebook about my abuse history and PTSD, but considering I can hardly respond to threads here without typing and deleting nine hundred times and the idea of even starting a trauma diary is petrifying, I don't feel I'm anywhere near ready. Lol

@BlueOrange WOW this is amazing. I have major sm issues so the fact that you use sm is one thing. Being open about DID on top of it - hats off to you. Congratulations:) Glad you had a positive response.

Being able to talk about it to the very sympathetic and supportive audience here was certainly good preparation for talking about it with people who like me just as much, but aren't necessarily as well-informed and skillful.
