Study Participants Needed For Paid Online Psychology Study!

Researchers at Ryerson University are interested in studying individuals’ preferences for treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD is an anxiety disorder that sometimes develops after a person has been exposed to a traumatic event. PTSD can be treated in a variety of different ways, and we are looking to study which treatment options people prefer.

Your participation will require completing a 20-30 minute online survey, during which your confidentiality will be maintained. Questions about personal experiences may cause psychological discomfort. However, your responses will remain confidential and you are free to answer or decline each question.

To participate in this study, you must be competent to provide informed consent and between over the age of 18. Should you choose to provide us with your mailing address, you will be compensated in the form of a $5 gift certificate to Starbucks for your time when you participate in this study.

I am sorry to make fun of this, however, you do understand that you are on the PTSD forum, right? I am guessing that the folks here have a pretty good grasp of the definition. ;)

I'm glad to see that people are already reading this post, and I thank you for the good wishes!

Unfortunately, this blurb is approved verbatim by the Ryerson University Ethics Board, and I'm not allowed to change the wording when I post it. One of the reasons that the recruitment blurb has the information about PTSD development is that I have to post it in several places all over the internet that are frequented by people who might not be familiar with PTSD.
