I stuck this picture in the pet section, but, just in case you didn't see it, here is Buddy enjoying her snow and wagging her tail! She's happy to see you!

The only snakes I've ever seen have been black racers, which are not poisonous. In general, if you stay on a path or a road, snakes are not an issue and I do plenty of walking, since I have no car!

This path circles a huge crop field, but I think I took this photo at a time when it was not planted. Hence the wildflower stands to your right as you look at the photo. The flowers are too small to show up in the photo, but they are lovely.

Don't see as many up here in Wisconsin, with an occassional grass snake. When I moved down South to SC, I'd see some dead ones from time to time...while walking on the path or road, but I was scared to run into one. They have this beautiful area where they do the Steeple Chases and you can walk down a large path between large trees and foilage. Once while walking there I saw something out of the corner of my eye move along the ground. Scared the bejeezus out of me! However, it was a teeny tiny baby snake...I was so silly. Though I did make my husband move a little faster just in case mamma was nearby! :hilarious:

Beautiful picture. Reminds me of hikes I have taken.
