The Carolina Wren has become one of my favorites. That's a juvenile in my profile pic.View attachment 59464

This is a cousin of the house wren with which I’m intimately aquatinted. They were always coming in the house where we were in the woods when the kids were little, and we would have to catch them and let them out. They’re called house wrens for a reason, they live with people often and have no fear of them. They are expert at staying out of the direct line of sight, you always see them from the corner of your eye.

It’s cold, dark and wet. I like it. The town is quiet and the beach is quiet. Here is a little splash of color though to go with all the gray and brown.

The weather is like gothic horror. I always liked vampires though. That’s what the picture of the island in the fog reminds me of.

Not a great shot, but this piece of ice is smack dab in the center of a bush and vertical. There is no building or tree or anything above it, and I can't figure out how the heck it became.

@whiteraven . Here's one I sent to my family hanging out in Florida, who send me pictures daily of the sun and sand. Notice the icicle in the forefront. It's hanging off my roof.

Been sunrise hunting, first day too much cloud, nothing but grey skies. This morning was a bit better but still gonna keep looking till I find a really good one.

And a walk in another park. First time in weeks I was able to walk at a good pace and feel strong. It felt wonderful!
