I feel like all I put on this forum is questions because I need a lot of validation and I don't get that sort of validation from people I know because my brain tells me that they are only validating me because that's what they think will make me feel better and not because they truly believe it.

Has anyone had some physical symptoms after starting therapy, I started about 3 weeks ago and I am completely and utterly exhausted, I have had migraines and dizziness but then I am on sertraline and the dosage has just gone up so it could be that but I don't know just curious as to what physical symptoms people have had from PTSD and also from going to therapy?

Yes, for me it is hard to impute causation because so many things are changing like medication, marital issues, etc. I try not to jump to conclusions and just consider the numerous possible causes.

Totally!

Physically and emotionally is extremely stressful! I’ve been in therapy for over a decade and I still get therapy hangovers.

Questions like the one you’ve asked are the reason this place is so damn helpful. Not just for you getting answers from a place that you feel you can ask, but for all the people reading the thread struggling with the same thing:)

Yep, me too. Therapy is hard work and exhausting. I had a rough session last night. A lot of bad stuff came up, and I'm still feeling "crappy" from it. For me it's like being triggered. It takes a few days to recover. Some sessions are much better, some are harder, and some are easy because we just sit and chat, and that's what I needed that day.
