@Trauma, not to thread jack... But yeah. I have a grand total of 2 mirrors in my house. Both at neck level, and I only use them to dry my hair. I use reflective windows as I walk to watch behind me, instead of me.

@Kaia ... I buy my son drywall sheets to tag. Cheap @ $4 for 1-2 meter x 2-3 meters (if I have a vehicle to get the 3m ones home! Same price, each size, bigger is just a pain to move). Added bene, the better ones he can sell. I suppose canvass would work, but drywall is so much less expensive! <grin> And kicks in half & can be jumped on into powder so nicely. One of the nice things about real walls is you can't do that. Once it's there, you have to adapt. But he likes pulverizing things from time to time.

American Civil War Reenacting. I already signed up to regiment, starting getting the uniform (I will be dressing as close as I can to a guy while remembering I still have to be female in real life) and I start next month. I'm really nervous but it's been a dream since I was 15.

It also makes me get more into shape so I can carry all the gear. So running and weight training...

SO!. What exactly is there stopping me taking up a childhood vision in my adult years, nothing what-so-ever.

Wonderful thread!

I put my embarrassment aside and I have accomplished a few things already....I'll never be perfect at these things I should have learned as a young person and I'll always be a little uncoordinated but I am proud of how far I have come starting so late in life.

For example, I learned to ride a bike well into my 40's and now I cycle to the grocery and around town, it still makes me smile I can even do it, LOL.

This post has inspired me to start another one....

Cheers, Whirlwind

Taking up swimming again may be hard because I think the child welfare can only cover the prize for either getting a double session with my vocal coach (single is only 20 minutes, that's fine in the beginning but now it's short) or swimming...
And my dad can't possibly afford paying for swimming and I won't quit singing classes.

So I'll change it to taking up swimming, or, if swimming is economically not possible, make a bigger effort at getting ovee my fear of practicing at home... lol I'm so coward even my friend who has like a one octave range and has barely ever sung performed live in front of 200 people while also playing guitar for their band... I've got a three octave two notes range and can hit a B6 and have taken classes for a year and a half but won't even try playing with their band even though they've been asking me to do so for two years... I feel like a failure :roflmao:

Ok I finally have one! I am going to start running again! I think I'm a bit discouraged though as my muscles tighten up, the overlying skin becomes more loose. Blargh, I know its only temporary, but its still frustrating! I will start once I get home again....well, hopefully there's enough clear road to run on, LOL. (Darn snow!!!) I'd love to be in better shape by summer, and rockin' by September (when I go to the beach), even better in October (when I renew my license), and smokin' in December (when I renew my passport). LOL
