I doubt it.
Twice, my introduction posts have been rudely deleted.
My purpose in comparing our collective experiences, which is purely personal, is to help change the inaccurate diagnostic code as it stands now, to prevent a life time of suffering in those who already suffer from ptsd, a stress injury. Those of us who actually have ptsd know for a fact we are not mentally ill. Isolation perpetuates the problem of ptsd. I was hoping to find other people who shared similar experiences with ptsd and the effects it has on our lives. It's painfully obvious to me that the PTSD forum is not interested in helping survivors of trauma but instead are interested in financial gain. It's not only sad, but appalling, that the PTSD Forum is not interested in ending the stigma of ptsd as a mental illness. I pity the members who have been silenced by your attempts to control our environment. The ptsd forum will be publicly condemned by me for attempting to profit off a 100% disabled vet and his family who suffers from ptsd. It's people like you who cause secondary wounding in the survivors of traumatic stress, adding more insult to ptsd injury. Secondary wounding experiences are MORE painful than the original trauma because at the time, we do not have the benefit of stress hormones to numb our response. I'm grateful that I have not, nor will not, profit off the suffering of other human beings. I will not be associated with a site who prevents freedom of speech, and is guilty of censoring another human being who has already suffered more human cruelty and neglect than anyone deserves. I have faith that you will reap what you sow. That is the beauty of America. My husband fought, and in his words, died, for the freedoms we enjoy today. America was founded on the principals of a united nation standing up for their beliefs. Since this is the second time you have invalidated my suffering in the Aftermath of War, I intend to publicly speak out against the practices of the PTSD Forum. Your actions will be judged by the citizens of this great nation. I have faith they will be just as applauded as I am of your attempt to censor trauma survivors and limit our Constitutional Rights to Freedom of Speech. Proudly Chris Woolnough author and poet.
