I saw an old Comrade from 4 Armd, on sunday, he`s now the Chairman for the local RBL branch. We got chatting about the Gulf, and I mentioned about me having been diagnosed with PTSD. So he told me of someone who is a Trauma Counselor. The guy works for the local Salvation Army. I went to see him today just to say hello, and it turns out he is an ex RAF Medic, 7 years service and was in the Falklands in 82. He has welcomed me round next week for a brew and a chat!

Got to be good news, me thinks!

I was Army of the West, based out of Edmonton until I got hit. No longer deployable I moved down to the School to finish out the Career. I live about 2 hours from Calais, Maine, so not really neighbors ther Drabs. Hummm, Beer during Therapy, I like it. To bad some politically correct arse whip would probably object and report us.

My contact with mental health has all been negative. I had a therapist I thought I could talk to but she bailed. And the second one listened but didnt help me. No plan to speak of. Lots of snobbish attitude and conditions to be met in order to get help, drugs. I called it carrot and stick and that got them all wired up. Had it out with the doctor and told him what I thought of carrot and stick. He said if you dont like the program get out. So I did. Therapist talked me back and said it would be different. But it wasent and 3 weeks later I was gone for good. So I know I could use help. But for me if the only local help I have wont work then f*ck it drive on.
