Ptsd And A Narcissist

Ok so I just found out my bf is a narcissist.... Explains ALOT.

We are both 30 and well both realized we are each others first love :/ I am however really concerned that his coldness during my "episodes" could possibly harm my recovery (its been lifelong this far due to multiple trauma cases). When we are both "ourselves" (he has moments where he isn't selfish or fake and is about silly and fun) it is amazing.

Just out of curiosity does anyone have any advice if things go array?

I'm honestly terrified we've been together almost a year and while I was finally explaining to him about this he found out his own issues and is willing to try and work our issues out together:)

I found reading the book "Why does he do that" by Lundy Bancroft mind blowing and insightful- awesome book about controlling and emotionally abusive thinking and behaviours - a bible for me. I educated myself about power and control behaviours versus healthy relating behaviours......If your bf is a narcissist it's my understanding that it is not possible to have a healthy emotionally intimate relationship with him - I have found that as my father was emotionally unavailable I would pick men who were the same - that's changed now as I've worked on myself however the Universe tested me a number of times so I had to say "No" quite a few times before I got a "Yes"! It's about faith that the Universe will provide .....
