I was lucky enough to have the help from an amazing OT, who played a key role in getting me back to work, after being off sick from work for over a year because of PTSD.

I'm in the UK, and I don't know where in the world you are, or if my experience is relevant, but if you think I can be of any assistance, feel free to PC me.

What it’s like living with PTSD… in a nutshell, it’s stressful. Lol. No but seriously, it is stressful, and stress is emotionally and physically exhausting.

Also, it can affect me physically in other ways. I get nauseous a lot, and headaches, and heartburn, and insomnia (which makes me sleepy because I don’t sleep well at night), and confused and forget stuff a lot. I have a hard time concentrating sometimes. Sometimes I randomly get dizzy, and sometimes I faint when startled and faint when I see blood. I frequently feel the need to flee and isolate myself when panicked, I’m easily panicked. Oh, and I have a compelling drive to avoid triggers; seriously, I have a hard to time being around them, triggers really upset me. Sometimes I can’t leave my house or deal with being around other people because it is too stressful.

I wish I'd known about OT it would have been very helpful to me. Before onset of PTSD I cycled around 10miles a day & was very fit, then became very anxious & just couldn't even sit on bike, some help then might have been able to keep me active & maybe prevent some of the physical health problems i have now.
If you'd like my input in your research please PM me.
