Sadly you may be right - but he doesnt want to go through more CBT etc... it made him worse... for years he tried all sorts - even a shamen :( it was horrendous :( x

I went through the rejection before too. It really. Really sucks. I'm sorry things are so hard.

While I don't have rejection on the intimate level because I am incapable of allowing myself to risk it as part of my hypervigilance. I can relate to the pain of rejection, it's one of the few things that will send me spiraling into a world of darkness, and also one of the things my hypervigilance protects me from it happening. I know all to well its a lonely way to exist, and sometimes I don't want to exist because of it.

I agree, more so those that do things so that we end up with PTSD are evil.

It says a lot about our society that acts like to the rest of the world that we are the model for morality, and treatment of others, while at the same time doing the opposite of what we preach to others. It's a sad state of affairs when we can't even feel safe in our own homes, and in our minds even after our abusers are long gone.
