Ptsd Forum Goes Caribbean - 2012/2013?

Yes... it will be a blast. We have a massive year 2012... preparing to sell this place before we go, PTSD Forum Holiday, sell house on return and move into new apartment... All the whilst that year we must do all normal things, we need to sell heaps to shift into apartment living, any little repairs and touchups around here to have the house 110% tip top for auction. Scary year that one... though we are coming (unless T&C is wiped out with oil... that could be unpleasant), though I'm sure we can shift the location if the oil spill impacts the Caribbean.

No problem with the help in booking if you decide to go. I have already been looking at different packages, even though we cant book until next year.

I have never flown before so, could be interesting. Well not in the air anyway. :rofl:

We will likely either ring club-med here and book through them or go to a travel agent and do the bookings. Its the paperwork part we don't want stuffed up... especially visas to get into the US, as we will be in LA for a couple of days. Problem is, we can't get visas until we are all booked prior with flights, accommodation, etc.

When I was thinking about going, I did some researching for prices of flights and accommodations, and came up with about $2000.00 just for that. Then you have to add in other things too like, food, entertainment, rental of a car, spending $$, and whatever else that you might want.

Depends where you are in the world... I think for us two combined from Australia it is around $12k - $15k, the lot, spending money, etc, booking 12 months in advance and getting the cheapest flights, staying with club med in a packaged deal that also include flights from within the US to Turks & Caicos, which saved heaps compared to booking independently. We just have to book from Australia to LA ourselves, then the rest is covered in the club med package, including meals, snacks, flights, airport transfers, etc.

Your better off to use the club med site to determine approximate costs as a package from where you plan to depart from within the US, then add to get to that point, and that will be your entire cost.

Just bring this back to life as I'm already thinking about being able to make bookings in 5 months, saving and getting excited this far out. Anthony will have to sit on me on the flight over as I'll be really excited then.
