PTSD from alien abductoin recently

Just womdering. Because aliens aren't real. Like, there may be life forms in other solar systems. But there's not aliens that come and abduct people on earth.

So, believing that could be a sign of psychosis?

when I hear certain sounds or such or even dogs barking or seeing dogs I get extremely anxious because of what they had me do when I was abducted.
Okay, there’s good news and bad news.

The good news? Getting anxious about an environmental stressor, like barking dogs, falls well below the threshold for ptsd. There’s multiple groups of symptom clusters, and you need to have symptoms rise to clinical levels in each category.

The bad news? There’s loads of things that can cause you to get anxious about environmental stressors other than ptsd - it’s a looooong list. (But mostly they’re things that can totally be resolved).

You’ve had an experience, it’s causing you distress, and that’s definitely worth getting help with. It’s probably not ptsd - having been abducted by aliens it sounds a lot more like you’ve experienced psychosis. That’s worth getting help for pronto - it’s likely a far more serious issue than having PTSD because of barking dogs.

Mod note:
and if you wanna know the real reason you can message me i suppose
