G'day to any and all readers.

Well the day finally came (after 2 months) when the Docs and Psychologists finally agree that I suffer PTSD and extreme anxiety.

I'm being cared for well by a terrific counsellor, medicated with various drugs and now starts the road to recovery .... I hope.

It's tougher than most without a disorder could fathom, as most would be aware. Nightmares seem real, a day barely goes by when I'm not depressed at least some of the time and my heart goes out to all who suffer.

Cheers guys'n'gals .... will keep reading through the site and occasionally interacting.

Belated welcome Al (I smiled when I read your nickname, it reminded me of my father in law). Glad you are satisfied with your counsellor, and we're here for mutual support and encouragement for you as you begin the process of healing. It is often a matter of determination and drive in between cycling or depressive periods. Slow and steady wins the race for a bit, but as you make headway, it gets easier. Good luck and glad you're here.
