Near the end of October I submitted documentation along with a request for Family Medical Leave absence hours. This allows me the option to miss hours if I am struggling with dissociation or headaches and unable to do my work to the quality needed at the help desk. The goal is taking care of myself instead of suffering and doing bad work. It was a brilliant plan.
The sad thing is this is done through outsourced process with an external company, who for some reason only made the claim cover 30 days. I did not notice this, as when I read it I thought I was covered till 2014, not 2013.
Now all my time (a total of 12 hours from the end date till now, just over 30 days) is denied and I don't have another appointment till a few weeks into January. Yet the approval depends on a medical Recertification.
There's nothing medical about this. Yes I have had problems and symptoms since 2002 or earlier. Yes I haven't been cured of PTSD in 30 days much less the 12 months since beginning treatment. The fact that it is even a question makes the dealing with the outsourcing of respect for my condition and me as a person a colossal waste of my time. All the information is already there in the original documentation I sent.
Frustrated and dissed as I am, next my plan is to send them the (therapy) service statements, from 11/7 and 12/12, in hopes it will recertify the fact I am still undergoing treatment (was already stated on 10/25 documentation).
