Got given the news that new job is ending.
It was a shock and a disappointment but nothing really new to me. This is the fifth time in my career thatmy position has beenmade redundant.
It was a surprise and it hurt. My cheeks were burning like a little boy sstanding outside the head master's office...
But,on the positives
I've got 2 months pay still to come while I look for a new job.
I have closed a gap on my cv/resume
i have my confidence back
and it is a great time of year to be travelling around visiting potential employers and reconnecting with friends whom i've been neglecting.
The work that i had been taken on to do, has just kept disappearing further and further into the future and it is a very small company, so i don'really blame them.
My direct boss seemed to be genuinely upset and he has agreed to give me some feedback over a pint later this week.
The narc. He was all friend ly and shook hands warmly. Don'cha lovem .
