Other Returning To Work

I am preparing to return to work on Monday 1/25/16. I am wondering what information is out there that I can give my manager to help explain complex PTSD.

@Alice.in.Wonderland I would personally keep the word complex out of the conversation. It is difficult enough to explain PTSD without adding the word complex to it, and there is a good chance it will only serve to increase your bosses concern.

I would simply tell him / her that you have had significant trauma in the past that has produced PTSD. However I would stress the positives in your ability to do your job.

Allow them to ask questions, but don't answer anything too personal, or anything you are uncomfortable with. Keep your answers relevant to your job, and your ability to perform your job.
