Saw The Doctor Today And Got The News

I saw my doctor today and got the news.I noticed a lump starting in my left breast that was bothering me a little bit,this was on Saturday.I did get in today and I have breast cancer.Mom saw it too and said I better get it checked out.I knew that I was at risk of this happening being 38 years old now,my mom is a 5 year survivior of this.Keeping my head up high,this was caught early and I am going to make a full recovery.Surgery is set for next week Monday to remove the lump.My children were told tonight and know I am still going to be around.Mom knows me very well,I don't let anything hold me back

My mom has already given me advice and hers was caught early.I supported her and she is going to support me back

Hang in there. They have come so far in the medical arena with learning about breast cancer, and what therapies work. I'm glad they caught it soon... it's great that your mom will be there to support you too.

My kids too,they are glad it was caught in time.My 18 year old daughter wants to get tested if she has this gene.I thought it was a great idea.Did tell my boss and co workers too,more support there.My co worker Mike's wife is going through treatments for this and hers was caught in time as well.

Here is the update,surgery went great and I am home recovering very well.My mom and oldest son were there for support.Son said he loves me and we hugged before I was rolled into the operating room.It looks good now and see the doctor on Tuesday.Doctor said it was a small lump the size of a dime that was removed.My oldest son even stayed with me to help out and did buy me lunch.Went to Jimmy John's and knew what I like from there
