Service dog attacked

I and my service dog were walking a few weeks ago, when two dogs attacked us! My dog is very helpful, but only at home now. She wasn't physically hurt, but is fear aggressive to the max. Saddens me so much that two untrained dogs ruined my service dog, by busting out of their yard!

I'm so sorry to hear that raj. Dogs can be just as susceptible, and in many cases more so, to traumas like these. It's good she didn't get physically hurt, but it sounds like she's messed up in the head atm. Having a strong home with love and support will really help her work through this event in a healthy manner.

A service dog is a pretty big investment financially. If your neighbors have endangered that investment through negligence, you might wanna talk to a lawyer about seeking compensation.

All large dogs, behaved or not. Not sure about recovering damages she's a rehome that I paid $25 for and ten dollars for a shot. I trained to ground me and cover for seizure response, search for family in store if I panic. Previous owner didn't separate from toddler she used to love on. Highly obedient until now.

There are techniques you can use to help her. Think of it as exposure therapy for your dog. It requires (to begin with) someone with a well behaved dog that can work with you. Essentially you start from a good distance and work her up to getting closer and closer over time.
Then you try again with a dog not as well behaved but not prone to attack. Same thing
The key is to watching the signs of stress and not pushing her beyond her limits. It's not always effective but worth a shot.
