Can you ever really be too old for christmas??

Never, ever ever too old for Christmas. My girls 26 and 23 even have a stocking each year. I even leave a mince pie, carrot and port out for Santa and the reindeer. The girls now roll their eyes and say just eat it mum we know it is you :D

That is really, really sweet. My heart just went 'awwwwwww'. I am going to ENSURE I do that with my children. As long as they are living in my home, Santa will have his beer and cookies and the reindeers will have their carrots. One day. If i ever have children.

That was my mom's favorite holiday of the year. I think it wasn't until we had kids of our own that she stopped writing Santa on some of our presents. And I was 29 when that happened Smushroom, so you are not too old!

When I told my mom there was no santa, when I was in my 20's, she looked all indignant and said, "How do you know?"

And, BTW, I became my mom's Santa until her death when she was 65. I always hid a few presents under her tree to open Christmas day!

Neither of mine live at home now, which I guess makes me even worse. They love the tradition though. Making happy memories is one of the best things you can do with children, whatever age they are - IMHO.

Britt, are you a daughter I never knew about? :eek:. My girls had the same conversation with me and I told them they could believe that but that I and the construction workers of New York believed:tup: - I love that movie in Santa.

She was that way at Easter too. I was her Easter bunny. One year I "forgot" and she pouted big time. :rolleyes:

I will do my tree once it is decorated. It only has lights on it right now. I am waiting for the girls to come over and decorate it. I even bought them hot chocolate and cookies for a snack.

So far all I have on my tree is the top, it is a gorgeous butterfly!

Well, the wires went up FIRST, then the cats. Husband and son went out together and got a MAN-Tree, which of course I then got to decorate since the testosterone part was over.

One is the top-half ( telling you, this is a GUY tree, it's friggin heeyooge ), then I just gave up and laid on the floor, looking up. ( Please note wire...... :whistling: )
