H and I put our tree up yesterday with our daughter. It was like old times except my daughter had a Morgans Spiced rum and coke instead of a soft drink . We sang along to the Christmas cd, which now has so many jumps in it my daughter says it sounds like the remixed version.

She even danced around with the dog :roflmao:.

No, Loloma, what would be even better than posting those pics ( which are stunning, love that mall's designer!!) is insiting yes, yes they ARE your Living Room decorations, what mall? With whatever passes for a straight face in internet-ese here in the forum. Hee.

Got your point Anni! The mall is called "The Shops at Ellenbrook". Perth Western Australia.

So here I am posting my miserable excuse for a christmas tree. However it is mine.

Ha! Nope, it's NOT a miserable excuse for a Christmas Tree- it's lovely!! I'll have to post my mother's this year. We are moving her as i write this- I should be logged off DOING something but got distracted with everyone's holiday here. She's had a tough time- downsized, Dad passed away, not a great year. Her 'tree' is an 18 inch decoration itself, with some of her old ornaments kind of stuck on it with wires. It's quite glorious, sitting on top of her new 'fridge because Christmas just plain happens, as soon as Charlie Brown drags that poor, bedraggled thing home every year and sticks that star on it. It's what's ON it which lights it up, not what's missing. That's the sacred bit- that's what the little girl in the post up there is doing all her singing about.

Holy Heck, that is beyond beautious! ( it's a word.... , maybe. ) If hubby would allow me anywhere near a power tool or torch, I'd have a shot at making one. Ever since The Great Steam Iron incident of ' 08 he's a little dismissive about the possibility, and you can hardly SEE the scar any more! That's a true story, by the way.

That's something you could leave up all-year round, too, except for the dusting- could get arduous!

The tree in our Family Room. BEFORE gifts under it. Will post a video soon. It rotates and has a strand of bells that play Carols.

Small tree in the Living Room front window. Not lit. My grandson spent the night and his "Elf on the Shelf" mysteriously visited him at our house. :)

Grandson BEFORE we baked cookies. That's me turned away, busy with preparations.

Grandson "decorated" with flour about half way into making cut out hapes of sugar cookies. It got worse later, LOL.
