So my husband is in the army as some of you may know. And well I needed some advise and someone to vent to really about some of the things he has been doing because of the PTSD.
So I told an army wife that i met through my husband. She is married to his best army budy.
Well Then I get a call from my husband and he said. Did you tell her that you were worried about me...
I didnt tell her that i was worried that he was going to off himself or something i didnt even say "i am worried for my husband" at all.
So then i had to explain myself and the conversation.
Its so frustrating that i have no one to talk to. My mom doesnt understand none of my siblings understand or are easy to talk to. And my friends also have no clue.
So for anyone on here thinking about talking to a fellow military wife about anything... dont i dont know why i did they are all gossipy anyways.

Hi,

Being an AF wife for 21 years (divorced a few years ago) and working for the AF, I've had some experience with the military mentality. The military community at large is on high alert for military members who may have too much stress and act rashly so that may be the reason for your friend to talk to her husband. I understand your feeling betrayed and having to explain your venting to your husband must have been uncomfortable.
I think the Army has a Military Life Counselor within the Family Support section. These are counselors that don't write anything down and everything is confidential. I hope they have one at your post... if not, the Chaplain has to be confidential so he/she should be available to help you deal with the issues without it touching his career.
