People I know: I realize it's totally unrealistic to expect you to be smiling, engaging and full of energy whenever I see you.

Mum: I should never have hit you, you were a beautiful little girl. I should have played games with you and listened to you whenever you told me about your day instead off shouting at you to f**k off. And I'm sorry for putting cigarettes, tea, milk & sugar before my children. There was no excuse for my behaviour.
