Starting new medication thoughts

Its like being inside your brain and watching. You see your brain grab on to an obsessive thought, in my case "why did my husband leave me while I was on tour in Afghanistan" and i say okay thanks brain for that thought but its really not helpful to get me to the life i want to lead, so i will unhook that thought and let it go.

@hermione - the trazadone can be a good reason to commit to a slightly earlier bedtime (so you can have a little extra time in the morning if you need to snooze a bit more). You'll be far better off cutting back on the alcohol, and sticking with the trazadone regime.

Worst side effect I had was vivid dreaming. That kicked in for me at 100mgs, and ultimately it's why I came off of it. But do take it regularly. The grogginess could be a start-up side effect that goes away after about 7-10days.

I hardly drink just I have softball Tuesday's it's my only night out and I had one drink ...my therapist wants me to try to go to bed earlier anyway because at night I get more emotional and stuff and the thoughts just get too much went to bed last night fine. I start my upped risperdal today going to 3mg than 4mg

I am starting trazedone tonight i have never taken it but i need to sleep and my therapist said it mig...

Yeah I do, but I take 150mg of Trazedone at night along with three other medications. It's good for sleeping 8 hours for me and that's. 50mg is very low and I can confirm that you will indeed wake up in the morning.

I don't drink alcohol or smoke ( anything) and take other pills during the day for another complication PLUS work out every night for an hour AFTER I get done with work. ( I'm very PTSD and am on meds for that as well)
I wouldn't suggest anyone drink on these meds. ( First of all Trazedone is an anti-depressant but docs diagnose for sleep, actually.. it's very common to be prescribed this way )

good to know my psychiatrist told me it is mainly for sleep and i am also very ptsd i take less than i used to i was overmedicated in the past now i am just on a couple, the riserpdal, vyvanse, lamictal and clonopin and now the trazedone...my therapist was just concerned of my low body weight when it comes to certain things and i have been on tons of meds most don't work...i don't really drink like literally one drink i never drink anymore i used to drink wheni was like 21 i outgrew that now its just the one drink once a week so i dont' think its too bad...
