@novemberDark - You know so much about animals! I love them. Sometimes I wish I could live on a sanctuary and just be around them. I'd work there of course. When things are tough like this Christmas was, I feel like I wish I was only around animals and no humans.

But my husband is great. I know when the dark is inside, to just wait it out. It will pass.

And I actually am feeling it pass as we speak. A 50 minute run helped!

Buck is a great documentary on horses, and the life of someone who lived thru a childhood living hell.

I don't know much, I just look at animals and find some peace in that, some acceptance too.

Sides if something fascinates you, you tend to look into it. That's many moments of focus ( when you can) and so releave for me.

Working with animals that's a wonderful desire !.

franciemarnie you focussed on the deers. Made me think, your description.
How often and fast they 'red alert' and recover.

I recently came accross an article somewhere that had some info on accute strein humans, and making the brain somehow smarter (adapt or something like that).

Can't seem to re edit the above post for some reason, I meant accute stessor experiences.

My mind sometimes plays tricks on me and right now I can't find where I saw that. Arg I hate that.

I understood what you meant @novemberDark. I often do typos and see them too late to edit. I never give anyone else's a second thought.

I had a healer tell me once that I should regularly do body shakes like animals to release stress I may be unaware of.

That's interesting!, I still haven't found that article, checked all my new scientist magazines, so it must have been online. I am so sure that it would be a natural adaptation of the brain for survival purposes and now I'm gonne wonder till I find more....

The deer it has both so strong freeze in fear state ( has its camouflage a but) but still no sound doesn't give away its position to become a target locked in by it's predator. Run in a territory it knows well, is save from experiences in areas where it wasn't and avoids them. Then if there's is changes it adapts again (through generations sometimes). The headlights of cars give them away because of the reflexion of the eyes. Glad they were running alongside the road.

The wale shark doesn't have to have this kind of protection, because of it's size I suppose. And when does a shark set onto another shark? If there is no other food? The wale shark digistive system is not set up for that. What a hierarchy, but it would probably adapt with lots of time. It's so perfect! .

The deer has both more to balance?

You know, I have lots of peacock feathers here and I just stare at one sometimes. It's so perfect and so beautiful, I find it relaxing.

Glad that you read through my spelling mistakes feanciemarnie, I found that I can do the same. It's this d...n phone, also I have no spell check on here it just pops up word assumptions. I admit I got lazy and so dependant on pc spellcheck. Now I have to go through some admission testing for college ( deceided recently to go back to school) and one of them is writing an essay in English. I don't know if I will have spellcheck ( don't think ) so andd I'm already freaking out!

Here comes the anxiety compagnion with the lovely stress!.

Then the exhaustion will follow so I can nicely mess up the critical thinking test because of poor concentration.

Admission is the key to the finacial assistance, financial pressure.
'Dollars are us'. For survival
.....I make for a bad shark.....
Hope you had a successful Christmass Chris 686, I'm sure your presence beat the presents!.

@novemberDark - I'm getting WAY off topic here, but re: critical thinking or study in general, I read this year that the mind is capable of maximum 100% focus and concentration and absorption of material for 20 minutes and then it starts to fade in ability, but a brief break away from the material you're studying can bring your brain back up to snuff for more study. So consider taking breaks every 20 minutes. I wish I knew this back in the day when I would do all-nighters regularly!
