New Here
so I've noticed a few things that really help me get by in my day to day without those pesky "ptsd symptoms" taking over, one of which is a good routine. Now I'm still working on this and do not have it down by far, but one thing that I'm realizing helps is having a place to go in the morning. Friday I felt overwhelmed and triggered in the morning and couldn't go to work, and this morning my office is also closed this morning due to a snow storm. I've been technically not working since Thursday (even though I should really do some work from home ) and I feeel not so great this morning . I've been trying to determine why this might be since I had an ok weekend and I realized it's because I haven't been sticking to that annoyingly helpful routine. I both hate that I need that structure to feel good, productive, calm, tethered, etc and love that I know it helps. I just wanted to share this... I'm now going to avidly avoid Facebook , stretch get ready for the day (despite it being blizzardish conditions and there being no where to go really) and maybe slowly trek to the library.
I hope you're all taking care of yourselves the best you can :) that's all we can do.
If there are any suggestions for good routines that help feel free to post below !
