Lol... They warp the faces! Their facial recognition computer programs must be having difficulty with some of the work-arounds people use with CCTV. Dead easy to do with a little bit of theatrical makeup, glasses, & height change. Computers can only do as they're instructed. The human element still needed to connect the dots!
