News Supporters Of Trump And Why

I am really interested in having a learning experience about Trump.

I don't play politics outside of peace talks, but I recently had a chat with a friend who supports Trump.

This friend said that with regard to addressing the United States' financial crisis, Trump, a business tycoon, would be well-suited because "a country is essentially a large business"- I felt it was an interesting sentiment, alongside his insistence that because Trump was not born of politics, he was inherently a more trustworthy figure- apparently by virtue of having emerged from outside the system.

I obviously have opinions about his opinions, but they are not relevant to this conversation :)

@St.Maybe Thank you so much for sharing this information about Trump. I personally do not like him yet his appeal is a real force to be reckoned with. I like the fact that he is not a lifer Washington insider. And I agree he is a shrewd buisnessman.

There are several reasons I prefer Trump over Hilary. Trump has a proven record of success, Hilary does not. Trump knows how to fix things that are broken, Hilary seems to know how to break things that are fixed (See Libya). I really think that Trump has entered the race because he believes he can fix things; that he can make trade deals that are fair to American,

He wants to get America back to working again, and he knows how to produce jobs.

I listen to the people who actually know Donald Trump, his family his friends and business associates, and all of them have very positive things to say about him.

He is not my first choice, but I think he is far an away better than HIlary.

@RussH you've made a couple references I've heard before and maybe I could ask you to elaborate? When you say he's fixed things that were broken, what things do you mean?

He has taken entire neighborhoods, and improved them. One of he first major projects was, and I forget the name of the building, but he took it, remodeled the building in such a manner that it revitalized the neighborhood. He also took the ice rink project in Central Park, and accomplished in three months, what the city could not do in six years. There are multiple examples where he has stepped into a situation, and fixed it. Yes, he has declared bankruptcy a few times, but when you deal in business at the level he does, that will happen from time to time, but over all he has been highly successful at business and providing good jobs for people.

But more than that, it is the stories he doesn't want told, of all the people he has helped privately. There was a young girl that needed life threatening surgery, but the facility where the surgery was being done, was across the country. He flew her there in his private plane.
Ruddy Guillani (sp) who knows Donald personally talks very highly about him.

I am absolutely, positively NOT a Trump supporter, but I have a positive thing to say about him, which I think may be the reason many people like him over Hillary. (I figured it was okay to post even if not a Trump supporter as long as I say something positive and don't try to turn this into an argument ... but if not, I apologize for posting). Trump says stupid stuff, really stupid stuff, but I think that for many people the fact that he is so open and straightforward is less scary than Hillary's deceptive practices behind closed doors. I dislike both Trump and Hillary, very strongly, but I think there is something more frightening about Hillary because she seems very capable of keeping her deceptions hidden and lying very very well, whereas Trump doesn't seem capable of being so cunning and insidious. I think many people prefer Trump because with him, there is a sense that you know what you're getting -- sure, he says moronic things and can be reckless with his words, but he's so flamboyant that even if he does something bad, he'd brag about it and then you'd know about what he did. With Hillary, on the other hand, she's much more cunning and you'd never really know about what shady stuff she's getting up to. Does anybody agree with this? This is just the impression I have gotten from covering U.S. politics recently as a reporter. I had previously never understood the appeal of Trump, but now this is my theory.
