I was wondering if anyone with more experience had any input on this.
Let's say that I have not felt for example a feeling of fear. It has been suppressed some way. This fear could be for example that someone's intentions are bad towards me.
Then imagine this being the norm, but since I don't really "feel" it, I do not register it as something that I do or believe. If asked, I can say that someone's intentions are unknown. It's true. However, the feeling is there somewhere, and it affects me in some way like making me tired of the suppression for example. Social situations might make me tired, because the feeling is there somewhere, and so on. The intentions of other people are bad as an assumption, but, this assumption does not register as an emotion.
I started to feel this at some point, and got into a bit of trouble trying to figure out what this feeling was. The latest was this: A neighbor moved around their apartment in a way that was slow and unusual. I could say, "There is no way my neighbor knows I feel weird and would be outside my door peeking into the eyehole. That is absolutely crazy. So, why do I feel the urge to check, when I already know? Why do I feel this fear, when clearly there is nothing to make me actually think there is something there". It lasted for quite some time. I still feel it now from yesterday a little bit when I try. The clinical advice was sensible, to not check, because why would I, but this feeling felt strange nonetheless.
So I feel this could possibly begin to at least partly explain some of the seemingly weird things I have been feeling lately, where I do all kinds of cognitive tests and everything comes out normal, but I feel confused and out of place somehow at the same time. Neurological and cognitive tests have all been fine, but I feel like something is wrong, but I can't place the feeling.
Having a reflex that you suppress the emotion of, and then when I feel it now, it might feel strange or unfamiliar, because I have not really felt that I would feel that way and it also made no sense to feel a certain way, but I did.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? I haven't looked into it much and I am feeling tired and in some type of a detachment feeling from a few things that happened in a chain.
