We have a storm coming in. They’ve been hitting us with the panic porn since probably a week ago. It’s gonna be a big storm and I live on the water. It’s early in the year for this kind of thing. It’s a big nor’easter, which is what they all say although that was a slang kind of word that came from the fishing population. A costal storm, it would be a potential blizzard mid winter. The updated forecast this morning calls for the worst of it to be around 55 mile an hour gusts off the water. Which is substantial especially because this is a full moon week which makes the tide higher. And it’s gonna rain a lot. Do you think I can water my grass now? Can they take down the signs all over the place that say no outside watering? The coastal flooding is only really a thing like an hour before high tide in an hour after high tide. But they never know what these things are gonna do until the last minute, I’m not worried right now.

So I was a surfer in this area for most of my adult life and they taught me how to follow these storms pretty closely. The forecast is only calling for 50 mile an hour winds at most and that’s today. Today’s supposed to be the worst day. High tide is about 1130. We’ll probably take a ride or a walk down the beach just to take a look and I don’t expect anything but splash over it’s gonna be windy and rainy and I can feel the wind right now and hear it buttoning the house. There’s nothing unusual about this where we live happens every year. The storms are a regular occurrence. Who is the possibility of power outages but they finally gotten that pretty much under control in my town. There’s not many trees here because we live on a barrier Beach in between the ocean and the harbor. It’s not very wide so in general what happens is the feeder line? That’s what they call them. Get damaged in the towns inland where they come from by falling trees and tree limbs and that’s about the size of it. It’s gonna rain maybe 1 to 2 inches but not anything out of the ordinary. They did mention correctly that a lot of leaves on the trees still this is kind cause an elevated probability of tree branches, breaking off, and trees getting pushed over but again that’s nothing out of the ordinary. Everyone that lives here is used to this kind of thing.The thing is all of the weather stations have been making a fuss about this for about a week and a half, which drives people crazy. On every channel I heard them say does of times over and over again it’s big northeaster that’s forming and coming up the coast we have to watch it, which is true I suppose, but they start hyping it and overhyping it way before they have the actual information before, the storm even get started based on Computer models that very greatly.So we’ll be inside us for the weekend which is nothing unusual about that either. Winnie the Pooh and the blustery day. Personally, I find it exciting to give you something to do and we’ll all look forward to taking a ride or maybe even a walk down to the beach. She’s only a couple blocks from here right around the time of high tide. To see the show.
