Gloria, you do have to take care of yourself. When you win this, you do not want to not be able to enjoy the victory because of health issues.
I had an accident in 2006 where a major food chain was neglegent (it was all on video). I already sustained injuries, including head injury and life was changed for ever. For three years they starved me out. My attorney would not settle in 2008 because he settled other cases and made too much money. After 3 and half years we went to mediation. I was so broke and desperate and by now ptsd reactivated strong. We settled but I was too ill to even know how to manage any money. I lost so much during this 3 yr period (health, family, job, mental health, will to live, hope, trust in people, ) That is there goal. When you are desperate, you will settle for less. You begin to think anything is better than nothing. You begin to question yourself and loose confidence if you do not eat and sleep properly and nourish your body and brain. I don't want to sound like a lecturer but I have heard your desperation at times as well. (even selling things to make ends meet)
People do not get rich from suing (regardless of what some people think) and usually get less than they deserve. However, for those who are genuinely injured, the fight for what is right affects every aspect of our being. You must take good care of yourself to stay strong. Hugs to you
