Veterans with symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who participated in in Tai Chi not only would recommend it to a friend, but also found the ancient Chinese tradition helped with their symptoms including managing intrusive thoughts, difficulties with concentration and physiological arousal.

I liked sword, broad sword and fighting fan... It was empowering as a woman and was very difficult to learn the basic and then the three other forms.
 
I practice chen style..it is one of the more martial styles helps me feel very protected after a lifetime of unprotected boundaries
 
Cool, I wonder if it would be helpful for PTSD from other causes too. It probably would.
