Mutsy, as I named him at the age of 2 years old is a Gund stuffed-dog that was bought for me by a surrogate aunt of mine. Mutsy has been cuddling with me all night long and for the past few days.
A few people made mention of their spouses' reaction(s) to a stuffed-animal sharing the bed. I'd just like to share the viewpoint (not sure if already mentioned or not) that I *think* my fiancé likes Mutsy. Mutsy, when he cuddles with me, means that I don't cling to my fiancé ALL NIGHT LONG, as I sometimes do when especially upset.
Mutsy gives my fiancé a break from being one of my many supporters. I don't mean this in an unhealthy way, either - I'm neither overly or under-attached to my fiancé or Mutsy, haha. But, Mutsy DOES make for a great "coping skill" or emotional release when I sob into his...well, it used to be fur but it's worn out after 20-some years.
((HUGS)) - from Mutsy, to all on this forum who need/want some hugs AND who can *safely* accept them (again..from Mutsy).
