Trying to stay positive is not working. The feelings are so uncomfortable.

Dear StrongerNow, yes, sometimes it would be easier, if we simply could outsmart our heart. But it doesn't work this way... I really don't know what to say to you right now. For it is a sad and final situation... :( But your decision is the best and most merciful gift you can give your Sasha girl, now, that the cancer is eating away her body. Yes (sighs), sometimes we have to let go, for someone's own good. Please don't forget, you got the strength, to schedule her "journey" back to the stars. So you'll find the strength to go through this situation.

I'm with you, my heart is with all of you. I will light a candle right now and set an alarm, so I can accompany you in my thoughts, at the time you three have to brake up. Sending lots of comforting hugs your way and gentle, love regards to Sasha girl.

So sorry for your situation, what a sad state of affairs. Our Kimi was 17 years old, not holding down food and just skin and bones, but he was holding on. We knew it was time. We had him put to sleep. He looked so peaceful. Sasha will be peaceful too.

Oh StrongerNow - I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. It is the hardest decision a person ever has to make - but you chose to let her go to a place without pain and by the sounds of it she had a pretty good time beforehand too.

Oh.... I'm so very, very sorry for your loss! :cry: reading this made me cry. I had to put my cat down after 14 years and it was so horrible. but it's an act of love to put an end their suffering. But it still hurts so much. She seem to have been a pretty amazing dog. And a dog lucky enough to be loved and taken care of througout those years.
