I'm believing that Election Night is going to be an empowering experience for many of us. I think the creature is going to lose and we're going to feel much better when this is all finally over.

I think Michigan is safely in Hillary's corner, even though I know she and her campaign are concerned about Michigan. I'm in Minnesota now, which is solidly blue. But I've been messaging with my Detroit African-American friends and they assure me they and their friends and family members are going to vote for her. Politics is not tops in many of their lives, but I think they're going to come through on this. Everyone knows what's at stake.

I do, too, but the Secret Service is really, really good these days. I'm more worried about Katy Tur and other reporters on the Trump beat. His followers seem to hold reporters in disdain, and he's helped egg them on. Cretin!

Wow. I hadn't thought about the campaign reporters. A former coworker was on W's first run. That was crazy then. I can't imagine now.... especially losing. The survivalist in me has water, six months dehydrated food, and cooking fuel just in case lol.

I was put on the FBI watch list for over a year when I covered anti war demonstrations in my rural college town in the early 90s. I attended the planning meetings & my editorials obviously supported the movement. It was weird being targeted on that tiny level I can't fathom a worldwide focus.

I've been an activist, too, for labor. I've been filmed and had guns aimed at me by jackbooted thugs hired by the companies. I understand the paranoia. But we were doing the right thing. Never forget that. And yeah, that was small time compared to what's going on now.
