~sigh~ here we go again...the "miracle cure"....posted by a non-veteran...go figure!
I will leave it to others to inform this moron that his posting is 1) wrong since he is not a veteran and 2) full of BS cause there is no permanent solution for PTSD!

I am writing to waste your time and piss you off. (sorry I don't have enough importance to be taken seriously even my a kindergardner! :/)

The hope is to scam all you veterans into giving me all your hard earned money.

f*ck OFF THINGY!

[edit] *** in case anybody is wondering, he deleted his miracle cure post.

It's not a miracle cure - it's a long term programme that can release the trauma and stress of any individual. It's been tried out with Military Veterans who have given video testimonials to the results they have gained.

However, it's obviously not the right approach for the community here, so rather than cause further offence, I have removed the initial post as best I can. I'm sure if people are interested they will be able to find it on Google via the post title. My intention was only ever to spread something that I believe could help, and whilst I'm not personally a Military Veteran, I have been working at this for the last four months and it has irreversibly and significantly changed my life for the better.

The man who pioneered this has recovered from a subdural hematoma and subsequent PTSD and it was only through this experience and process that he has pioneered the programme.

However, I'm not expecting this to carry any weight with you, so I re-iterate, genuinely, my intention was never to cause offence, and I wholeheartedly apologise for doing so.

Hey Geoff

You might find our sister forum useful. Although I'd contact the Admin, Anthony in regard to posting about specific forms of help for people with PTSD.

I'd add that and suggest that before you approach a community like this or any other you do more research in the area that you intend to try and help. I understand your enthusiasm with a method that you've personally found helpful and you seem intelligent as well. I guess you didn't notice the banner that said for COMBAT VETERANS ONLY. Gotta' take you to task on that one. It may be hard to understand but probably every week we get people here with the cure of the moment. We come down hard on that.

Apology accepted.

Reported incase no one else did. Thanks for the snake oil. you came in here knowing you don't belong and then try to get bitchy with us? Shame I cant talk to you face to face. I would have a lot to give back.

I happened to wander here this morning. I'm not one to in any way minimize anyone's problems. Any trauma can cause PTSD. But I think I've gotten to the point where I just have to call it like I see it.

Having a blood clot on your brain is a serious thing, no doubt. And I can understand the subsequent ptsd. But then I started thinking about the people here and ones that I know that have had severe TBI and combat trauma, wounds from combat. How anyone can think that what the a four mentioned person experienced can possibly measure to any standard that we've had to deal with is really insulting and an insult to any and all veterans.

The things we've been through and survived is a quantum leap beyond what those people have had to deal with. This isn't a 'no shit' contest, and I'm sure ya'll know that about me. If someone can be helped by any method I think that's a good thing for them. Recovering and getting better is what we're all about. Guess it just stuck in my craw and had to say something. As always, just my 3cents (inflation).

EDIT: Ok, I decided to take the time to check this out. I try to be fair, fair as I see it of course. I read the post and viewed the video about the method mentioned above. I'm trying to be open minded but have to say this; there wasn't any real mention of what the method was. There was mention of buying books and donating to a fund for a place to do this stuff. Now as I mentioned, anything that can help someone is a good thing for them. Just as the cynic I am this sets off a flag for me personally. When people aren't forthcoming about something and are looking for monetary support it makes it very difficult for me not thing poorly of it. Hate to be the one to throw water on the fire but again just my opinion.

JarHed...I did a random Google search showing he had basically the same exact opening at a few other sites. Seems to be "phishing" vet sites. Could be presented as reaching out or as shopping. No idea if he has a valid treatment plan?
