The Only Reason I Am Thankful For Ptsd

I have posted something similar before, but this bears repeating:

I would much rather have never been bullied and traumatized. I wish I had never heard of PTSD and all the associated garbage that goes with it, but if I had not been bullied, and developed PTSD, then I would never have met the wonderful people I have met here on the forum. So, if there is one reason I am thankful for PTSD,it is you and your friendships.

Thanks RussH, I so appreciate you saying that. I used to think that the only nice people in the world were all going to Church where I wouldn't meet them because I don't go there. It's so true that sometimes ours wounds lead us to great things that we would otherwise never have discovered about ourselves and the world. I'm glad to 'meet' you too and to read your insightful posts.:p

If I did not have PTSD, I would not have divorced my first husband, I would probably never have married him. I would not have found my current husband with my list of demands. Married 20 years now and I am very happy with that aspect of my life.
