Therapist with 2 business names? a little odd?

hi,
I’ve found a therapist on a councelling listing website who looks great. There’s not a lot on her website at all it’s only one page but what she wrote on the listings looks fab. I’ve just emailed her and she’s now under a different company name. I googled the company name and it doesn’t have a website at all. But it’s listed as a registered company on the gov site. I just find it a little odd. She does look like the ideally therapist for me but does it seem odd to anyone else? Different companies and no website?

Possibly she's recently changed business names and hasn't got round to updating/creating websites yet? Email her back and ask about it.

Yup ^^^. This was my first thought too. She may have started out with the group mentioned and has switched to her own practice. I go to a group that rents out spaces to new therapists under one business name. As each builds their own clientele up, they leave and start their solo practice or join another group. This is common.

She may also both work for an agency and have a private practice - it’s not unusual at all for therapists to have more than one place of work in the U.K.

This. My therapist has 3 websites under different names. He owns his own company and is affiliated with 2 others.

Yep, my doc has a private practice and he’s head of a clinic.

I wouldn’t worry about this at all.

Trading name different to company name for taxation purposes or the legal entity for multiple possible reasons.

Lots of reasons this could happen:)
