The symptoms of PTSD are all found in other disorders. Some of which are more treatable, some of which are less treatable... but the treatments are often wildly different. Even, sometimes, opposite; the same treatment that helps one disorder, sends another disorder to crazy-town on the lunatic express.
Having any of the symptoms though, rates seeking help.
Whilst knowing what disorder you have can make finding help easier? Self diagnosis tends to just make things a lot harder & take a lot longer. Yes, it’s a pain to go through all the testing, and medical testing (to rule out physiological causes)... but it’s very worth going through it, IMO, so you’re treating the right thing, instead of wasting years treating the wrong thing.
IE - You don’t have to have a diagnosis to seek help.
That’s part of the seeking-help-process. Going into someone with what’s going on with you, and your life, & letting a professional point you in the right direction.
