This Place Looks Familiar...

I haven't been active on here in a while, wonder if anyone still remembers me :think: I miss you guys.

I must say life's been interesting and rewarding these last nine months or so, but not without its challenges. My new job fell victim to the economy in December, but it couldn't have been timed better. I applied to grad school and was accepted, and I was given a nice severance package. So now I'm back in school, safe from the stormy real world and living alone in a studio. Feeling much healthier these days for sure, I felt I needed to leave this place for a while to take that step.

But enough about me, how's everyone been all this time? I see a few familiar names and a lot of new ones. :hello:

upstream! I'm glad to hear from you. It sounds like you turned what could have been devastating into a growth opportunity. Nice going!

Of course I remember you! You're still on my friends list. All kinds of new things going on with me. I have been sober in AA for 4mos! I have grown and changed/healed so much in that time. I was healing before I quit drinking but Not nearly as much as I have been since. My recovery from both alcoholism and ptsd are the biggest priorities in my life.

I still have some healing to do and maybe I always will but today I manage my symptoms very well. And I have made so many new real life friends that are genuine and real in their intentions toward me. I have been able so far to weed out the negative people quite effectively. I have a sense of balance in my life more so than ever before. I am so grateful!

Well, enough about me. It's really good to see you back here. I hope you stick around for a little while at least. I have missed you too.

I'll try to stop in from time to time, but I don't think I'll be as active as I used to be. I need to get good grades this semester.

Death boots, ha... yeah sorry I never emailed :( Things have been very stormy for me since you left. But beginning to pick myself up...I think... it wasn't always rocky the last few months, but it's recently come back. Before that, I learned to ride my bike, and work as a psych assistant, whilst trying to complete this damn degree. Acquired some pets since we last spoke too. That's pretty much all, I think!

Loving the new change of direction in life you've taken! :) Do drop by from time to time... Im not as active as I used to be, but still around and about here somewhere at times...

No need to apologize Lisa, when I didn't hear from you I didn't take it to mean anything. Personally I rarely feel comfortable emailing people I meet online. Glad to hear you have some fun new stuff in your life!!!
