This So Called Weapons Ban

I understand, Angle and I remember seeing news broadcasts of the horrible events going on with the IRA. I remember you Brits just trying to keep the peace in the middle of hell. Therefore I understand your opinion regarding firearms. Just hope it doesn't affect the friendship we've developed on this board.

And yes, Frenchy has his priorities completely reversed. He's in far greater danger of losing his weapons without treatment than with. I'm a little leary of the VA knowing about our weapons because that is what the VA used to report me to the DHS.

Confused.

I wish I could be like willie wanka and have 100's of oumpa loompa's making me the finest selection of my own weapons. They could have all sorts of curious add ons attached. feel free to discover your own.:cautious:
I say we all kick frenchy for being French till he explains himself. more free entertainment.

.................Just hope it doesn't affect the friendship we've developed on this board..................

What? I have to make friends now aswell. Oh FFS.

Anthony never mentioned that when I joined the Forum the barstool.

Honestly Sarg cocker, the biggest problem with "Guns" is quite simple realy. We do live in different worlds.

I realy do get what the 2nd is about, and why you guys cling to it. We brits don`t have the Problem because all our guns were taken from us a very Long time ago.

And no it hasn`t stopped gun crimes, but it is hard to get one, even out here in Germany, and we are 4th in the world for the amount of guns in circulation. and yes we have gun crime here aswell.

Just so you know, m brother who is 8 years my older (and a civvie) was shot outside a bank in London after he tried to stop one of the Robbers as they came out.

But seriously, the crack head who breaks into your house over here isn`t carrying because he can`t get a shooter so easy. It realy is only the big and Major crime Szene that has Access to them.

And yes I know I allways Play the Ireland Card, but only because I was brought up in that world where you looked under your car to go to the Shops for a pint of milk, and where places like London removed all public trash bins from the inner City so they couldn`t be used to hide bombs.

But then you know me and my opinion on the subject, and I do seriously hope you dont let my rantings wind you up. The others you can let get wound up, but the Possie knows better I hope.

So anyway, if someone can Quote the "Frienship" paragraph from the sign in page I will have a read and see if I can accomodate. ;)

But then as Red mentioned maybe it is just because it says "Frenchy", and as we all know us Brits don`t like them, don`t even Need a reason. French is enough.

hey guys - will they take my pow away from me.?

After getting 5150'd (involuntarily held) last time I voluntarily (damn, can't add any more emphasis to the word voluntarily) went to the VA for mental help, I lost my gun rights for 7 years.... Chaps my ass, but a man has to do what a man has to do. I'm alive and so is everyone around me.

The questions you should be asking are... Do you want help or not? Is your PTSD bad enough to NEED help? Are you fond of your kidneys and liver? (drugs and alcohol). Do you want to keep on living? Do you want to spend the rest of your life in jail for killing someone with said gun after snapping because you didn't get help? Many more questions, but by now you should have the idea...

Poke around, read some of the posts here. Some are filled with pain, some are filled with hope and at least some recovery. Everyone who is still here is overall doing better because they sought help.

Just my 2 copper...

Yes get help first! Worry about gun rights later. 2nd amendment aside for now since it is a reality for US here:

There seems to be a lot of confusion on this topic but my limited understanding is that you lose conceal carry rights in SOME states if you have a PTSD diagnosis, combat or otherwise. The state matter would square with what we were told in group, that the VA requires you to give -up any weapon whenever you opt for total care within VA outpatient system. In that case, it is a safety issue for their caregivers coming to your residence. You give up your right to a weapon as a choice to be fully cared for but I'm sure this target will constantly keep changing...

I disagree with y'all. Many vets will not seek needed treatment because of fear of losing their gun rights. I also no without a doubt if all vets with PTSD are denied gun rights, many vets will go postal and many more will commit suicide over losing their guns. Some vets cherish their guns more than their family. Some one taking away your guns and gun rights is like killing their wife.

I have to admit about not knowing much about this topic, so the VA really can restrict your gun rights? How does that happen, what is the vehicle or form? The topic is a hot political issue but when I asked a friend he said it was only if you opted for total care from the VA. Is that not the case?
