Sexual Assault This spoke to me

There's no such thing as a perfect victim.
There's no wrong or right way to act.
We tell ourselves how badass we'd be in the moment, but until it happens, we can never really know.
Survival is badass. If making your rapist breakfast saves you pain or saves your life, so be it.

Great article...Thanks for sharing. It really does hit home.
I have spent most of my life denying being a victim of sexual assault. Since there was no such thing as marital rape until 1984 in the US, that didn't count either. In youth, some I have never differentiated as they seem like harassment.

Again, thanks for sharing this!

Thanks for sharing. I think the “perfect victim” mould often stops victims from speaking out, for fear of being judged/not believed. So many people are so quick to judge how a victim “should” react and behave.
