@Bkinder , I actually don't know. I just thought if a person of another gender is browsing the forum, it might be a nice thing for them to be able to see that they're welcome :)

Thought I'd add - if people don't understand a term, or want more info about sexuality or gender I'm more than happy to help.
I don't mind how poorly or otherwise the question is phrased, I feel like I understand the issues fairly well, but I also don't want to preach. So, ask a queer person if you want, and don't be worried about offending me.

Well, I shall join in. I'm a transman though these days I tend to prefer man :p And I have DID so... some of us our asexual, at least one is hetero ad some are gay so I also tend to take the label queer AF. Also, while I'm male, I'm not super masculine and some inside identify as female still. Harumph to them. Hah.

Adding - @DharmaGirl There's nothing wrong with being asexual and it's a lot more common than most people realize although society seems to treat you like a freak if you are. Spent many years of my life identifying as asexual

Question! What is non-binary? I've heard that term a couple times now but no clue what it means.

@Muttly I can't imagine how challenging it would be to have alters of different sexes. I admit I am woefully uneducated on DID so I don't think it even dawned on me that when you have female and male alters they would have different sexual needs when they are the dominant person That must take an astonishing amount of energy for you to keep everyone organized and on task.

Basically not fitting into the male / female categories... May be because a little bit of both, may be because someone outside both of them, may be because they do not fit to the person culturally and their role within their culture is not what would be described as either male or female, may be because they do not identify with the idea of gender at all but have some (as opposed to nongendered or agender where the people do not feel they have a gender or need one). Clear as mud? :)
