-Maui was great, my uncle has a timeshare there...was thinking about going with my cousin and her daughter, aunt..next year maybe.

I've really not been anywhere...Vancouver was nice but I was only there at the time to take advantage of the low drinking age. I wasn't really enjoying the place. Mazatlan? another drinking place. Seaside Oregon very nice spot, would like to go back, again my cousin goes yearly I could team up again using uncs timeshare...she uses it everywhere. Always Santa Barbara, LA, Diego, though LA is not the LA I knew in the 70s, Huntington beach is where I spent a lot of time, Dana point grandfather (CHP) had a boat there. The cascade mountains would be really nice....Leavenworth Wa...Santa Fe in New Mexico was amazing....Laguna Ca or Newport...

ETA: sorry you said one place...I want to say somewhere in CA but I think of traffic/people...maybe Oregon...mellow, gets many seasons I think...MMJ ok, id rather walk on a beach than lay on one in this fat body anyways.

what a great thread but such a tough question. I spent 12 months back packing around the world quite a few years ago and was fortunate i got to see some amazing places and experience some amazing things - sites, experiences, people.
But if i had to choose .... New Zealand - one of my best experiences ever was been up close to the whales at Kaikoura . Even though I vomitted a few times on the boat ... id do it again.

French Polynesia. Bora Bora, Mo'orea and Tahiti in that order. Any of those three islands will do. They were freaking unbelievably gorgeous. And peaceful. And nurturing.
