Trying To Figure Out What Happened Last Night

Evidently, I had a wild evening and trying to pick up the pieces this morning. These are the facts I know have calls out to hopefully find out more. I had a couple beers and while making dinner looked here and posted something on one of the forums that was close to 8, had dinner, took med in bed reading. the rest is complete nothing. This morning, god what a mess. I find muddy clothing in bathroom, I guess I took a shower, beer turned from cans into bottles (car and keys in same place) cant find my new packet of pills old one still on table. Smoked about 10000 cigarettes. Was texting people until after midnight, was told around 11pm I flew into a rage with one person I was texting with over the phone over nothing. from what I can tell I was still moving at 2:30 am there was a empty bowl beside bed so ate again, woke up fully clothed even shoes this morning feeling like a truck hit me with bruises on me and have tremors. And last but not least, WTF was good since changing pills, now suicidal thoughts that were a whisper in the distance, are like a Trump supporter screaming at a liberal. I am safe but worried, have call into doctor just waiting for call back.

How long have you been on your new meds? Have you drank on them before?

This could just be that you absolutely can drink on your new meds. That the just don't go together.

Good call phoning your doctor that's the best thing to do just now.

This sounds really scary I've been black out drunk before (not that I'm saying that's what this is) and waking up with no recollection is so scary.

You said your old meds are nowhere to be found is it possible you took them all? Maybe by mistake or....on purpose? If there's the smallest possibility you should get yourself to A&E (or Is it Emergency room they call it over there) right away. Don't worry about if your wrong or what ever best to be safe than sorry.

Have you had blackouts from alcohol before? Or is it more likely from your meds?

Sorry that should be absolutely CAN NOT drink on your new meds. It wouldn't let me edit.

I agree, alcohol and new meds (or any meds) can equal a black out of insanity.

Are blackouts common for you? And by this, I just mean amnesia. I'm used to losing chunks. So, for me, I would worry more about the amnesia part than the alcohol part .... but if you never lose chunks to dissociation, then it is probably just the alcohol. Either way, contacting your doctor is a smart move.

NO blackouts before, new pills to make me sleep started them last week had a couple beers on them Thursday everything good I think, history of sleepwalking. Only had two can beers left in fridge found them empty on table, bottle beers 5 full one 1/2 drank found in fridge so 4 1/2 beers total all night I went somewhere to buy more beer at one point just don't know.
Was in weird mood yesterday very quiet did not speak but maybe 20 words that in its self is very odd, feeling the same today. Doc knows that I drink beer and says to lay off beer until he sees me tomorrow possibility that I mixed up pills. it is the new pills that I cant find have no idea where they are at, it was only 10 pill package so should only have 6 left, He is giving it a trial run then will script more if ok. o Christ I think I might have took melatonin last night he told me not to with new drug

Remember nothing when I sleepwalk, and been known to do crazy stuff while doing it drive, cook, eat, txt/emails. Hell friends stayed over a few weeks ago said I got up at 3am showered got dressed and was looking for my car keys when they put me back to bed, I have no recollection of it. since trying to deal with the insomnia, sleepwalking and nightmares that I do unfortunately remember are more prevalent. Therapist says since the brain is drugged repressed issues can/will surface.

When you have a history of sleepwalking you have to be very, very careful with what kind of sleeping meds you take. Did you tell your doc about the sleepwalking?

Also - you can't drink, period, not in combination with any sleep medication whatsoever. It doesn't matter whether it seems ok once or twice - all it takes is one bad sleepwalking episode to get yourself or someone else killed. No joke. Don't f*ck around with it.

Really, sleepwalkers can't take traditional sleeping pills of any kind. It's not worth the risk. It doesn't matter whether you haven't done it for years - if you have walked in your sleep before, you can do it again. You can leave your home, drive a car, get out of the car, do things...you might not be likely to do that when not on any medications, but when on drugs, yes, you can. People do.

Sorry to be an asshole about it, but sounds to me like you had a sleepwalking episode.

No problem you are right and I understand completely. NO MORE alcohol! The pills prescribed are for anxiety/sleep that are taken before bed They are a low dose antipsychotic (how that works I don't know) doc did not say anything about not drinking and he knows I like a beer or two at the end of the day.
BUT no more alcohol !

Awesome. And when you see your doc next, make sure you tell them about the episode. You also said you might have taken melatonin on top of it, which could have been a factor - report that as well. Sorry about the no-more-beers. I miss having a beer at the end of the day, but it's just not worth the risk, you know?
