I've been having a tough time lately and I need to watch something to fall asleep(put on yellow light/protective eye mode at night of course). Currently rewatching Big Bang Theory.
What other shows I can watch to feel better? A watch a lot of things and when more depressed sometimes I really run out of ideas.

Criteria for them: either light funny shows, or such that take you in the story. Or anything that helps you feel better for some reason.

I can only take tv in small doses because of the annoying commercials, but when I do choose to dive in, I seek out things like the PBS nature/music/cooking/DIY/antique roadshow shows, American Pickers, The Good Witch on one of the hallmark channels (and netflix), Bob Ross painting stuff on the Create channel, and a few of their cooking shows, like Jazzy Vegetarian and America's Test Kitchen, and I also dig their shows Growing a Greener World and P. Allen Smith, the animal planet Pit Bulls and Parollees, and My Cat From Hell.

I really dig the "feel-good" feels my old soul gets from the old school shows like Andy Griffith, Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, The Love Boat, Gilligan's Island, The Jefferson's, Good Times, Sanford and Son, Mama's Family, some of the game shows like Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and if I just want to feel a little bit better about (some of) my own choices in life and have some laughs and deep sighs of relief that it simply isn't me in their shoes, I'll check out some of the "reality" shows like Naked and Afraid, Wife Swap, Homestead Rescue, etc. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

I visit you tube, netflix, red box, and gaia when the tv isn't jiving with my vibe when I want to be electronically entertained...the rest of the time nature pretty much has it covered. Hope you find some good entertainment vibes in your searches. Take good care.

Supporter introduced me to "The Good Wife." Emotional content is relatively low-key, stories are thoughtful.

typically i watch anime. my feelgood anime is "Aria" - the daily stories of apprentice gondoliers on Mars. It is mellow. It is mellowness wrapped in marshmallow, served with a merlot.

I stay away from anything else to do with magic or the occult, because it is my decision to.

I find very little that I can watch anymore. But that's okay with me.

TBBT (already watching), Friends, How I met your Mother, New Girl are my go to "funny" shows. Friends of mine really like scrubs, but I can't stand it. Parks and Recreation is really good, too. Hubby's go to shows are Glee and The Office (I absolutely cannot stand the Office though ? Too much screaming and way too cringy).

I'm a big time Trekkie, so Star Trek always works for me. And since this is 4 shows (not liking TOS) with 4-7 seasons each, that's a LOT to watch :D

Anime (Sailor Moon ftw! :D). Also the Legend of Aang (and Korra).

I have the bad luck of really liking a lot of shows that are cancelled after one or two seasons (Pushing Daisies was hilarious!). When I was younger I also would usually start watching a movie and fall asleep in the process. Would watch the same over and over and over again...go to at the time was Lord of the Rings.

I have a lot of friends who really love Oudlander (story criterion, not so much funny). I gave it a try the other day and it was too scary for me within the first 10 minutes (though I was alone at home at night, which probably didn't help.) but maybe it's worth checking out?

Mostly shows made for kids/teenagers.
Disney stuff usually since I have that channel - like Jessie, Ravens Home. Andi-mack. Thats whats usually on when I'm trying to not want to sleep.

I record- any movies rated PG, speechless and americas got talent

Netflix- star trek

really tame stuff that has the least likelihood of having any kind of trigger or commercials that might have triggers and aren't interesting enough to keep me awake.

Who's Line Is It Anyway. Wish I could find the original British series somewhere, but the American versions are very good as well.

Star Trek. I'm watching the original series and holy cow is it over the top. It's hilarious.
